& Me's Success Hits the Papers We were so honored and pleased when news of our little company spread and we were asked to do a "Business Profile" interview with The Marin Independent Journal. The following is a transcript of the article by Mika Edwards. San

"They are humorus, fun, and whimsical and playful," Lin said. "Our stuff is... not like anything that is our there right now." Customers: Miya & Me items are sold at shops throughout California including Book Passage in Corte Madera, Buttons and Bows in San Anselmo, Poplollies in San Rafael and Two Neat in Mill Valley. Miya & Me cards can also be found in stores in New York and Washington. Cost: Cards retail for $2.25 each or wholsale a pack of 12 for $12.00 What's New: Currently Miya & Me has a line of 80 cards and, in September, new cards will be launched bringing the total to 160 designs. Also being introduced will be modern-styled Japanese cards with designs such as cherry blossoms and orchids. What People Are Saying: Heather Macdermott, owner of Poplollies in San Rafael, has found success in selling Miya & Me cards and invitations. "I think they're awesome. They retail extreamly well," Macdermott said. "They are witty, yet cute, so they can crossover demographically. You can give them to your daughter and your grand-daughter. They (customers) think they are adorable and come back to get more." Vital Statistics: High School buddies Lin and Matsuishi started creating cards for Miya & Me a year ago. Lin is the artist and Matsuishi is the copy writer. "I had been doodling these characters since I was a little girl and Sally was incredible with her copy so we decided to do this, Lin said.
